Trilogy

Trilogy is a gated community just under 2 miles West of the Rio Vista bridge (no toll) at the intersection of CA-12 and Summerset. It is clearly marked as Trilogy and the Rio Vista Golf Club. The front gate number, lest you get lost, is (707) 374-4306.

If you are approaching from the West (Fairfield and I-80) you will pass the Western Railway Museum before seeing the Rio Vista city limits sign. Turn left on Summerset at the next lights.

If you are approaching from the East, across the Rio Vista bridge, you will leave town and drive for a few minutes until you see the Trilogy Rio Vista Golf Course on your right. Turn right at the lights onto Summerset.

Stay on the left at the security gate and tell them that you are coming to Leon & Verna's wedding reception. Turn right after the gate and turn left into the parking lot for the clubhouses.

The entrance to the Nines Restaurant is at the left hand end of the complex. You can also enter through the Golf Shop.

The address is 1000 Summerset Drive, Rio Vista, CA 94571.

Directions from San Francisco

Take I-80 West towards Sacramento. As you approach Fairfield, turn right on CA-12 East to Rio Vista. Drive for approximately 25 minutes until you reach Rio Vista and Trilogy (see above).

Directions from San Jose

Take I-101 North or I- 280 South to I-680 North, towards Sacramento.

Travel 50 miles, then take exit #50 on CA-242 towards Pittsburgh/Concord.

After 3 miles you will pass through Concord, close to the Nextel building. Take CA-4 East towards Stockton/Pittsburgh.

After passing some shopping malls and a sharp left turn, CA-4 East becomes CA-160 North, towards Rio Vista.

In a mile or so you will cross the Antioch bridge. There is a $3 toll for cars.

Travel about 12 miles.on CA-160. Turn left on CA-12 and cross the Rio Vista bridge. Then see the instructions for finding Trilogy (above).

CAUTION!

The stretch of CA-12 from Fairfield to Lodi (Rio Vista is midway) is mainly single lane and extremely dangerous. It is (deservedly) closely policed by the CHP at all times. Turn your headlights on and drive defensively. No matter how fast you go, the bridge openings, large trucks and farm equipment will eventually slow you down anyway. Watch out for cattle and peacocks on the road West of Trilogy.

The stretch within the city limits goes to 35 MPH after crossing the bridge. It goes rapidly from 50 MPH to 40 then 35 as you approach from Trilogy. You are very likely to be ticketed if you are doing more than 1 MPH above the limit. Most locals treat the 35 as 25 to avoid triggering the red and blue lightshow.
