[edit] The Project/Product

[edit] Project Background

This new [2007] relationship between SRC and Objectivity is intended to insure success with the next generation of radar modeling systems to be utilized by U.S. Army and Marine ground forces, the U.S. Air Force, as well as the Intelligence Communities. SRC is a nationally recognized leader in the development and manufacture of radar systems and radar technologies for the U.S. Department of Defense and other government agencies. Radar related development at SRC encompasses radar systems development and manufacturing, radar technology development, and radar modeling, simulation and analysis.

[edit] Project/Product Description

This customer funded partnership will initially focus on the development of a content management solution for a radar modeling prototype which will allow government researchers with complex data fusion projects to correlate information that is stored in silos of traditional “stove piped” data within legacy databases. Objectivity/DB® will be the real-time scalable data fusion repository that monitors, analyzes, responds and reports on all platforms and assets to satisfy the real time data management requirements for the system. Upon the successful conclusion of this prototype work, the deployed system will collect Terabytes of ELINT (electronic intelligence) data from thousands of sensors that will be deployed over time.

Objectivity/DB will be at the heart of this mission-critical application. Objectivity/DB will store and manage vast amounts of disparate information performing data fusion from the sensor network. Objectivity/DB provides a reliable, scalable repository for the wide range of complex data types found in this type of application. The Objectivity platform is highly optimized for performance and throughput in systems that handle highly interconnected data. Objectivity/DB’s distributed processing system architecture, with no single point of failure, provides the robustness necessary for this application. Objectivity/DB handles all aspects of interoperability, including language, operating system, file system, networking and hardware dependencies.
