[edit] The Project/Product

[edit] Project Background

George Sidman, founder and CTO, used Objectivity/DB in his previous company, NouSoft. The company went under when the WWW caught on, as it had a proprietary GUI and indexing mechanism for document management. Nevertheless, it was probably the most advanced text and multimedia management system built with Objectivity/DB outside of the Intelligence Community. George had the idea for WebLoq while trying to find ways to make Digital Rights Management systems secure.

Note: We are licensing their product for use within Objectivity.

[edit] Project/Product Description

The WebLOQ Trust Service™ provides:

    • Email privacy and safety
    • Freedom from spam and malware
    • Send secure Email in minutes
    • The same Email, but better
    • Legal compliance for HIPAA, SOX & GLB
    • Trusted service for individuals, professionals and enterprises of all sizes

Unlike other SaaS secure mail services, such as CertifiedMail.com, WebLoq uses standard email clients. The user installs a LoqAgent that runs as an email server, encrypting and decrypting TCP/IP packets. This makes it impossible to intercept packets en route and alter them in an undetectable manner. Only the source and destination IP addresses are visible.
